Cumberland DRW votes in favor but I’d like to condition the vote on clarification of something.

 

The current proposal seems a bit ambiguous.  The first requirement, subscribe to a feed that delivers CC/USD to the SV is ok. 

 

The second requirement, “Updated your on-chain conversation rate as the reference rate changes at least every 10 minutes” is a little ambiguous.  I agree with showing the ability to update at least every 10 minutes, but the wording for “…as the reference rate change…” seem to imply that we must update based on that external feed from (1) as it updates, no less than once every 10 minutes.

 

I’d like to clarify that we aren’t required to based our updates off of the values received from the feed in (1) yet.  In other words its ok for us to update our prices from internal sources while showing we can consume an external feed and update every 10 minutes.  My concern is given the tight timeline for passing the CIP and implementation, there won’t be much room left to address any issues identified with the external source and we’ll want to make sure that we sufficiently test it/confirm its resiliency before using it.  3 weeks just doesn’t seem like its long enough to do so.
