I was hopeful that we would get a chance to discuss this during our call tomorrow before it moved to vote. I think this is an important topic with nuance to consider as well as a potential alternative/additive element to consider—introducing a similar mechanism to enable updating the FA reward multiplier or cap. The approach would, I believe, have a similar effect as the current proposal but perhaps be more intuitive.
Its entirely possible that the correct approach is enabling both—one to address changes in the infrastructure costs of the increasing utility provided by the network and one to account for changing elastic/in-elastic demand dynamics for the network’s applications.
I would like to discuss this topic during tomorrow’s call before casting Cumberland DRWs vote. Everyone is obviously free to proceed as they wish, but I think it would helpful to most if we could discuss, and consider alternatives, before the vote completes.
Thanks
Chris
